Blood protein may reveal hidden heart risk
NCT ID NCT05175261
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study followed about 764 people who recently had a heart attack to see if a protein on their platelets (FcγRIIa) could predict future heart attacks, strokes, or death. Researchers also combined this protein level with other risk factors to create a risk score. The goal is to better identify who is at highest risk so they can get more aggressive preventive care.
