Summary

This large study tested whether an intravenous drug called FDY-5301 could reduce deaths and heart failure in people who had just suffered a major heart attack (anterior STEMI). Over 2,300 participants received either the drug or a placebo along with standard emergency heart procedures. The goal was to see if this treatment could better protect the heart muscle and improve long-term outcomes after the attack.
