Summary
This large, completed Phase 3 trial tested whether an intravenous drug called FDY-5301 could help patients survive and avoid heart failure after a major, life-threatening heart attack (anterior STEMI). Over 2,300 patients who received emergency artery-opening surgery (PCI) were randomly given either the study drug or a placebo. The main goal was to see if the drug reduced deaths from heart problems or new heart failure events.
