New heart test could save patients from second procedure

NCT ID NCT07264881

First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests a new tool called UFR that uses ultrasound images to measure blockages in heart arteries during a heart attack. Currently, the most accurate test requires patients to return 30 days later for a second procedure. Researchers will follow 200 heart attack patients to see if UFR can give reliable results right away, potentially eliminating the need for a second visit.
