Heart artery calcium: One-Size-Fits-All vs. custom approach

NCT ID NCT07105930

Summary

This study compares two approaches for treating severely hardened heart arteries before placing a stent. One approach uses a single device that sands away calcium, while the other lets doctors choose from several methods based on the patient's specific calcium type. Researchers want to see if the single-device approach works as well as the customized method at helping the stent expand properly. The trial will include 310 adults with chronic coronary syndrome who need this type of procedure.
