Heart scan study tests if new drug reduces dangerous protein buildup

NCT ID NCT06073574

Summary

This study uses heart MRI scans to measure changes in amyloid protein buildup in patients with ATTR-CM, a serious heart condition. It involves up to 150 participants who are already enrolled in a larger trial testing an experimental drug called ION-682884 against a placebo. The goal is to see if the drug reduces the amount of harmful protein deposits in heart tissue over time compared to no treatment.
