New hope to save hearing when childhood cancers return
NCT ID NCT05756660
Summary
This study tests whether adding sodium thiosulfate, with or without the drug vorinostat, can protect hearing when children and young adults with relapsed cancers need cisplatin chemotherapy again. It focuses on patients with specific childhood cancers like hepatoblastoma, Wilms tumor, and neuroblastoma who have already received cisplatin before. The goal is to prevent additional hearing damage while still fighting the cancer effectively.
