Summary
This study looked at how much children with hearing loss and their caregivers understand about what caused the hearing loss. Researchers asked 156 participants to fill out questionnaires about the type and cause of their hearing loss and whether knowing the cause matters to them. The goal is to improve how doctors share this information with families in the future.
