Researchers map the hidden challenges deaf teens face in school and life

Summary
This study aims to understand the complex links between hearing loss, thinking skills, language, reading, and mental health in deaf and hard-of-hearing teenagers. Researchers will use tests and questionnaires to measure these skills in about 256 adolescents. The goal is to identify which factors most affect a teen's success and wellbeing, to better inform future support services and policies.
