Researchers listen to deaf teens to map challenges in school and life

Summary
This study aims to understand the complex links between hearing loss, thinking skills, language, reading, and mental health in deaf and hard-of-hearing teenagers. Researchers will use tests and questionnaires to measure these areas in about 256 adolescents. The goal is to identify which factors best predict a teen's outcomes, to help improve future support services in healthcare and schools.
