Summary
This study looked at whether adjusting hearing aids helps older adults communicate more easily and with less mental effort. Sixty adults aged 60 and older with hearing loss who had never used hearing aids took part. Researchers measured listening fatigue, effort, and sentence recognition before and after four weeks of hearing aid use. The goal was to see if better hearing reduces tiredness and improves quality of life.
