NCT ID NCT07347158

First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether health education from nurses can improve quality of life and reduce anxiety and depression in people who have had digestive surgery and now have an ostomy (a stoma on the belly for waste). About 70 adults with permanent or long-term ostomies will take part. They will attend workshops and get follow-up care, and researchers will measure their mood and well-being using standard questionnaires.
