Summary
This small study aimed to understand how a drug called BYL719 affects tumor biology in head and neck cancer. Fifteen patients scheduled for surgery took the drug daily for two weeks before their operation. Researchers then compared tumor samples taken before and after the drug treatment to see if it changed specific markers in the cancer cells.
