Hidden hepatitis b risk in cancer immunotherapy under scrutiny

NCT ID NCT06347588

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study watches 60 cancer patients who have a hidden form of hepatitis B (occult infection) to see if immunotherapy treatments cause the virus to become active again. Researchers will use new blood tests to detect early signs of reactivation. The goal is to better understand and predict this risk, not to test a new treatment.
