Summary

This study looks at whether a medicine called peginterferon alfa, alone or with other antivirals, can clear the hepatitis B virus from the body in people who have already been treated with interferon. The goal is to achieve a functional cure, meaning the virus is undetectable and no longer active. About 10,000 adults aged 18-65 with chronic hepatitis B will take part, and treatment lasts 48 weeks.
