Simple handgrip workout may tame blood pressure in artery disease patients

NCT ID NCT03663777

First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether doing a simple handgrip exercise for 12 weeks can lower blood pressure in people with peripheral artery disease (PAD). Researchers will split 30 participants into two groups: one that does the handgrip training and one that just gets encouragement to be more active. Blood pressure and heart health will be measured before and after the 12 weeks to see if the handgrip routine makes a difference.
