NCT ID NCT07493018

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using a hand puppet or a squeeze toy can help children aged 6-10 with blood cancers or blood disorders feel less afraid and upset when getting an IV. 90 children will be randomly assigned to use a puppet, a squeeze toy, or standard care. The goal is to see if these simple toys reduce fear, improve emotional expression, and make the IV procedure faster and more successful on the first try.
