First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a hand puppet or a squeeze toy can help children aged 6-10 with blood cancers or blood disorders feel less afraid and upset when getting an IV. The goal is to see if these simple toys also make the procedure faster and more successful on the first try. 90 children will be randomly assigned to use a puppet, a squeeze toy, or receive standard care.
