Can removing a mole boost vitiligo treatment?

NCT ID NCT07307534

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether removing the central mole (nevus) in people with halo nevus and vitiligo leads to better skin color restoration than using medication alone. Sixty participants aged 6 to 45 will be randomly assigned to either have the mole removed plus medication, or receive only medication. They will be followed for 6 months to see which approach is safer and more effective.
