New bird flu vaccine shows promise in large safety trial

Summary
This study tested an experimental vaccine against H5N8 bird flu in 1380 healthy adults. The goal was to see how safe the vaccine is and how well it triggers the immune system at different dose levels with two different adjuvants (AS03 and MF59). The results will help determine the best dose for future studies.
