Stool test could guide simpler stomach bug treatment
NCT ID NCT07439445
Summary
This study is testing a simpler, two-drug treatment for a common stomach bacteria called H. pylori. It will involve about 70 adults who have not been treated before. Doctors will first use a stool test to check if the bacteria are likely to be resistant to the main antibiotic, and only people with non-resistant bacteria will get the simpler treatment to see if it works well and is safe.
