First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a probiotic (Saccharomyces boulardii) to a standard 4-drug antibiotic regimen helps clear H. pylori infection in people whose past treatment failed. About 1,248 adults will be randomly assigned to get either the probiotic plus antibiotics or antibiotics alone. The main goal is to see if the combination leads to more negative breath tests 28 days after treatment ends.
