First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests a 'screen and treat' approach for H. pylori infection in 500 teenagers from three regions of Chile. Half will receive antibiotics to clear the infection, while the other half will not. Researchers will check if treatment reduces signs of stomach damage and changes in blood markers, with the goal of preventing future gastric cancer.
