Virtual reality rehab: stroke patients try High-Tech home therapy

NCT ID NCT07202520

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether a virtual reality headset (H'Ability Home) helps stroke survivors improve their independence and walking speed better than traditional paper exercise booklets. About 44 people who have had their first stroke and are finishing in-center rehab will use the VR device at home for 6 weeks, then compare results to a 6-week period using paper exercises. The goal is to see if VR-based self-rehabilitation boosts autonomy and coordination.
