Feeding formula study seeks clues to help sick Kids' gut health
NCT ID NCT03414775
Summary
This study looked at how two different feeding formulas affect gut bacteria in critically ill children. Researchers compared a standard formula (Pediasure) with an organic, high-fiber formula (Nourish) in 32 children aged 1-17 who were stable enough for tube feeding. The goal was to see if either formula helped create healthier gut bacteria patterns that might support recovery.
