First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at whether the bacteria in your gut (the microbiome) are linked to the severity and recovery of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a chronic pain condition. Researchers will compare stool samples from 140 adults with CRPS and their housemates. They also test thinking skills to see if they relate to pain outcomes. This is an observational study, meaning no treatment is given—just observation and analysis.
