Gut bugs could boost breast cancer chemo
NCT ID NCT03586297
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looked at 49 women with triple negative breast cancer to see if the bacteria in their gut and tumors affected how well chemotherapy worked. Researchers collected samples before and during treatment to find links between certain bacteria and a complete response. The goal was to understand, not to test a new treatment.
