Summary
This study aims to understand if dengue virus damages the gut lining, causing 'leakage' of bacteria into the blood, which may worsen the disease. Researchers will measure gut leakage markers in 190 hospitalized adults in Bangladesh and use ultrasound to check for abdominal changes. No treatment is given; the goal is to learn how gut health relates to dengue severity.
