NCT ID NCT04497727
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looked at gut tissue from 35 people with and without high blood pressure to see if there are differences in gut cells. Researchers used samples taken during routine colonoscopies and grew mini-guts in the lab to compare gene activity and growth. The goal was to understand how gut inflammation might play a role in hypertension, not to test a treatment.
