Summary

This study tests whether a diet rich in fermented foods (like yogurt, kimchi, and sauerkraut) is tolerable and can improve quality of life for people who survived a critical illness, including severe COVID-19. Researchers will look at gut health, inflammation, and mental and muscle function in 40 survivors. The goal is to see if healing the gut can help the brain and body recover.
