Scientists probe Gut's role in weight loss surgery success
NCT ID NCT07277465
Summary
This study aimed to understand how weight loss surgery changes the community of bacteria in the gut and related hormones. Researchers followed 60 people with severe obesity before and after their surgery to see if these changes explain why some patients have better metabolic improvements than others. The goal was to gather knowledge to potentially improve future patient care, not to test a new treatment.
