Could a poop pill ease a deadly lung condition?

NCT ID NCT06481852

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether transplanting healthy gut bacteria from donors can help people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a serious condition causing high blood pressure in the lungs. 24 participants will receive either the bacteria transplant capsules with or without extra fiber, or a placebo, to see if it's safe and if the donor bacteria take hold. Researchers will check if this approach affects inflammation, heart function, and quality of life over 24 weeks.
