Could swallowing 'Good Bacteria' capsules ease painful skin disease?
NCT ID NCT06058520
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether swallowing capsules containing healthy donor gut bacteria can help people with hidradenitis suppurativa, a painful and difficult-to-treat skin condition. Researchers will enroll 16 adults to see if changing the gut's bacterial community can improve skin symptoms and quality of life. The study will measure changes in gut and skin bacteria, along with symptom severity, over 12 weeks.
