Scientists hunt for gut clues in autoimmune disease
NCT ID NCT04462601
Summary
This study aims to understand if changes in gut bacteria and gut lining markers are linked to changes in Sjögren's syndrome disease activity. Researchers will observe 50 patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome, measuring specific blood markers and quality of life over time. The goal is to gather knowledge about how the gut might influence this autoimmune condition, not to test a new treatment.
