Summary
This study examined stool samples from 200 heart attack patients, some with high blood sugar and some without, to see if gut bacteria differ between the groups. Researchers tracked deaths over 12 months to explore whether changes in gut bacteria relate to recovery. The goal was to understand why high blood sugar patients often have worse outcomes after a heart attack.
