Scientists probe gut bacteria as crystal ball for cancer care
NCT ID NCT07263620
Summary
This study aims to see if the specific bacteria found inside digestive system tumors can help doctors predict which patients will benefit most from chemotherapy given before surgery. Researchers will analyze tumor samples from 90 adults with cancers like stomach, pancreatic, or colon cancer who are scheduled for this pre-surgery treatment. The goal is to find biological markers that could one day help personalize treatment plans.
