New gum surgery technique aims to stop Smile-Ruining Re-Growth
NCT ID NCT07041541
Summary
This study is comparing two types of gum surgery for people with a 'gummy smile,' where too much gum shows above the teeth. Researchers want to see if a newer technique called 'GingivalStat' is better than the standard surgery at keeping the gum line from growing back up over time, which can ruin the cosmetic result. The trial involves 22 healthy adults and will track their gum position and satisfaction for six months after surgery.
