This study looked at a modified lip repositioning surgery for people with a gummy smile (too much gum showing when they smile). The surgery used a simpler technique that avoids cutting certain muscles. Researchers reviewed records from 32 patients who had the procedure and found it reduced the amount of gum visible when smiling. The goal is to improve smile appearance with a less invasive approach.
