Gum treatment may help restore your sense of smell
NCT ID NCT07326319
Summary
This study looked at whether treating gum disease (periodontitis) could improve a person's sense of smell and reduce tongue coating. Researchers gave 108 non-smoking adults with gum disease a standard deep cleaning treatment. They measured smell ability and tongue coating before and after treatment to see if there was any change.
