Could cleaning your gums help you smell better?
NCT ID NCT07326319
Summary
This study looked at whether treating gum disease (periodontitis) could improve a person's sense of smell and reduce tongue coating. Researchers treated 108 non-smoking adults with gum disease and measured their smell ability and tongue coating before and after treatment. The goal was to see if controlling gum inflammation helps with these other oral health issues.
