Dental cleaning may shield diabetic kidneys
NCT ID NCT07256613
Summary
This study is testing whether a deep dental cleaning for gum disease can help improve kidney health in people with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes. Researchers will compare 46 participants who get the cleaning to those who only get oral hygiene advice, checking their kidney blood tests before and 90 days after treatment. The goal is to see if better oral health can help manage a serious diabetes complication.
