Dental cleaning could be key to fighting diabetes kidney damage
NCT ID NCT07256613
Summary
This study is testing whether a deep dental cleaning for gum disease can help improve kidney health in people with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes. Researchers will compare kidney function tests in 46 participants who either receive the dental treatment right away or after a 90-day delay. The goal is to see if better oral health can help control a serious diabetes complication.
