First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested whether applying injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF), titanium-prepared PRF (t-PRF), or 0.8% hyaluronic acid gel helps gums heal faster after surgery for overgrown gums. Sixty healthy adults were randomly assigned to one of four groups. Researchers measured wound healing, pain, and gum health over 28 days. The goal was to see if these treatments improve recovery and comfort compared to standard care alone.
