New gum graft surgery shows promise for receding gums

Summary
This study tested a minimally invasive surgery called VISTA that uses donated tissue (fascia lata allograft) to cover exposed tooth roots caused by gum recession. 24 adults with at least 2mm of gum recession took part. The goal was to see how well the surgery reduces gum recession depth and width, and improves gum health.
