Gum graft showdown: which donor site heals better?
NCT ID NCT06404762
First seen Mar 03, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested two different places to take gum tissue for grafting—the back of the jaw (tuberosity) or the roof of the mouth (palate)—to fix receding gums on a single tooth. Thirty healthy adults received one of the two grafts along with a surgical flap procedure. Researchers measured how much gum coverage improved and how much pain or discomfort patients felt over a year.
