First seen Nov 13, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at why people's gums respond differently to the buildup of dental plaque. Researchers will monitor 80 healthy adults aged 18-35 as they stop brushing for a period to allow plaque to grow naturally. The goal is to identify the biological reasons behind varying levels of gum inflammation, which could lead to better prevention and treatment of gum disease.
