Gum graft study: which part of the roof of the mouth heals best?

NCT ID NCT07554625

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at 40 healthy adults who had gum recession on their lower front teeth. They had a gum graft surgery where a small piece of tissue was taken from either the front or back part of the roof of the mouth. The researchers used 3D scans to measure how the gum healed over 6 months. The goal was to see if one donor site led to better healing than the other.
