New gum surgery combo shows promise for repairing bone damage

Summary
This study tested a special gum surgery technique (EPPT) alone or combined with enamel matrix derivative and a bone graft to repair bone defects between teeth caused by gum disease. 58 adults with moderate to advanced gum disease participated. The goal was to see if the combination improved gum attachment and reduced pocket depths better than surgery alone.
