First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether a short guided meditation session before cancer surgery can lower patients' anxiety more than sitting in silence. About 300 adults scheduled for cancer surgery will take part. Researchers will measure anxiety levels and also track pain medicine use after surgery to see if meditation helps recovery.
