New stent aims to seal brain aneurysms and prevent strokes

Summary
This study is testing a new medical device called the Surpass Elite with GUARDian Flow Diverter to treat unruptured brain aneurysms. The device is a small mesh tube placed inside the artery to redirect blood flow away from the aneurysm, helping it close off. About 183 adults with a specific type of aneurysm will be enrolled to see if the device is safe and effective at preventing stroke and sealing the aneurysm over 12 months.
